Gök Tonga
“Turkish Qaghans are the shadow of God on earth. For thousands of years, my ancestors trusted you. Thanks to the great and almighty god that my ancestors left such a sacred legacy to this state, like you and the 209. Orta.”
Sultan Süleyman “the Magnificent” – 1526, before the march on Mohacs
Gök Tonga is the name of the hero who protected the Turkish Qaghanate for thousands of years from the threats posed from the unreal world. Only the Great Turkish Qaghan can summon and give orders to him. Gök Tonga leads a group of heroes whose courage and fighting skills were blessed by the celestial god. This hero in tiger or leopard pelt is a powerful shaman at the same time, protecting the heroes under his command from enemy spells. He is the keeper and custodian of the ancient, blessed relics of the Turks since the dawn of time. The sacred sword and seal of Mete Qaghan are only two examples. Only Gök Tonga is allowed to carry all three different color feathers (white, red, blue) of the sacred Hümâ bird, which are attached to his headskin. When he uses his shamanistic powers, he appears to be covered with crackling lightning with a pair of giant eagle wings on his back. He carries a deadly hammer in his hand, a sword in his belt and a large shield decorated with eagle feathers. This amazing hero, Gök Tonga, is blessed by the celestial god, a sacred legacy to Turkish Qaghans from their glorious ancestors.
